True or False: According to naturalists, our thoughts are nothing more than the movement of atoms in our brain?

This is what my sister has been told. Is it true?True or False: According to naturalists, our thoughts are nothing more than the movement of atoms in our brain?
In one sense, that's about it. Thought process is the result of not just one area or part of the brain firing, but of ';networks'; of neurons, levels of neurons, and neural networks all participating in some sort of synchronization. It's even more complex. There are elements of electrical, biochemical, and electromagnetic effects involved. Then, there are aspects of quantum physics involved in a very abstract fashion. There's a thing called quantum entanglement, and the particle-wave function. It is my belief, and that of some quantum physicists, that consciousness is simply a particle-wave function duality association between quantum mechanics and brain structure.

In short, like the duality of light (light waves are both particle (photons) and waves), consciousness is also both particle (brain structure) and quantum waves.

A metaphysical naturalist would proceed on the assumption that thoughts had an underlying natural explanation. That wouldn't necessarily mean she'd consider them ';nothing more'; than the movement of atoms, however. Similarly, you probably don't consider the words you're reading now to be ';nothing more'; than pixels of differing colors, even though you know that at the most basic level of analysis that's what they are.
Crudely expressed, but the idea behind it (that thoughts are derived from the physical brain) is basically right. Here's a whole website on naturalism

more or less, however it is more electrical impulses firing than atoms moving about.
False

Ions are the ones that are moving.
yes it is true

Does it really matter? I exist therefore I am. Thats good enough for me!
